About: “Waste Commission of Scott County is a 28E, inter-governmental agency that was established in 1972 and reorganized in 1990. Our members include 17 communities and Scott County. The Commission, headquartered in Buffalo, Iowa, has planned, sited, built and operates. Scott Area Recycling Center receives and processes all of the residential recyclables from Scott County Communities.” They’ve installed new recycling equipment in the last year and we’ll get to learn about and see their single stream recycling process.
Dinner: We will enjoy a plated dinner from Thunder Bay Grille in Davenport, a quick 5 minute drive from the Recycling Center. A cash bar will be open for alcoholic beverages and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
All dinners served with parmesan mashed potatoes, family-style green bean almondine, house salad and our own freshly baked focaccia bread. Please select your main course option:
Philanthropy: We will be partnering with Student Helping Our Peers (SHOP), an Iowa State University student-run pantry located on campus. Please bring non-perishable items OR make a monetary donation here: https://fundisu.foundation.iastate.edu/project/25882
