  3. The purpose of the Iowa Section of IFT is “to support improvement of the food supply and its use through science, technology, and education”. How will an Iowa Section IFT Scholarship enable you to contribute to the Iowa Section purpose?

 Recommendation:

  • All Scholarships only need ONE recommendation from a faculty member or an industry member who has worked with the student. Be sure to kindly request, with plenty of time ahead of the deadline, a recommendation from ONE faculty member or industry member who knows you well. Recommenders must fill out the form here.

Company Interaction:

  • Scholarship recipients are expected to interact with representatives of companies who provide the scholarships.  A thank you letter is always advised soon after receipt of a scholarship. Make sure to let the company representative(s) know how you will be using the scholarship funds. ISU students are expected to attend Iowa Section IFT meetings (virtually/in-person) and interact with company representatives throughout their college career.

The Student Profile Form (here) and all required element attachments (typed in English) must be submitted by 11:59 PM, Friday, January 8th, 2021.
